This collaborative fundraising event encourages animal advocates to spend 24 hours at our Pet Resource Center – eating\, sleeping and pawtying with shelter pets while raising money and awareness for participating shelters like Gateway Pets (GPG). Thanks to our oh-so generous sponsors Metro East Industries\, Carol House Furniture and an anonymous donor\, your gift will be DOUBLED starting today – for every $1 donated\, GPG receives $2! \nSpotlight Your Business AND Support Shelter Pets in Need! In an effort to raise awareness and money for shelter animals\, GPG asked staff and volunteers to spend 24 hours in kennels living side-by-side with shelter dogs while asking for donations. The entire event was live-streamed on social media\, giving the public a glimpse into the lives of shelter animals. By the time the 24-hour was up\, the team had raised over $30\,000! In 2018\, another area organization\, Belleville Area Humane Society\, joined and together\, we raised over $50\,000! This event exploded in 2019 when 17 organizations came together raise much-needed funds for community animals in need. SUMMARY:Healing Hearts and Give STL Day
DESCRIPTION:April is Heartworm Awareness Month and we are asking for your help to raise much needed funds for our dogs with heartworms! Last year\, we took in and treated around 120 dogs with heartworms. Veterinary care for these dogs is not cheap\, but we are dedicated to saving each and every one of them! To help these pups receive the life-saving treatment they need\, we are asking pet lovers to join our fundraising team for our annual “Healing Hearts” campaign! Each fundraiser who hits their $500 goal will receive an exclusive family and/or pet photo shoot in our pawsome photography room. \nThe campaign kicks off on April 20th and ends on May 5th\, which will culminate in a local annual day of giving event\, Give STL Day. If you are unfamiliar with peer-to-peer fundraising or feel you will have trouble raising funds\, we will be there every step of the way to help you meet your $500 goal. From our experience\, we have found that it’s really easy to raise money for heartworm positive dogs by simply sharing stories (which we provide!) of heartworm positive dogs we have helped on your social media. There is also Facebook group exclusive to Healing Heart fundraisers. SUMMARY:2022 St. Louis Area Shelter Slumber Pawty Presented by Purina
DESCRIPTION:It’s time to pawty! Several local animal shelters and rescue organizations\, including Gateway Pet Guardians (GPG) have once again come together for the St. Louis Area Shelter Slumber Pawty Presented by Purina. Starting March 5 at noon\, participants are invited to attend an in-person shelter sleepover or to join in virtually from home. For 24 hours\, in-person participants commit to raising $1\,000 and for those at home virtually\, GPG offers the option to raise at least $500. All participants will have their own unique link through MightyCause\, which will redirect back to this page. \nThis collaborative event between 17 organizations aims to raise money for the operating expenses associated with intake and adoption\, generate awareness for lifesaving programming and showcase the partnership between the many local organizations and supporters. During the event\, both in-person and virtual participants are encouraged to share stories of their shelter or foster friend. Sharing fun photos and videos in pajamas is not mandatory\, but highly recommended : ) Follow all the fun on Facebook March 5-6.
