Yesterday, we received a call from a concerned pet owner. Her mama dog, Bella, had a gaping wound on her belly. We had previously helped her family find homes for Bella’s puppies, and when we heard she needed help we didn’t hesitate.

Hillside Animal Hospital fit Bella into their busy schedule. After a physical examination, it was determined that Bella had mastitis, a painful bacterial infection in her mammary glands. The vet sedated her and cleaned out her wound and started her on antibiotics to fight the infection. And later that day, Bella went home to her loving family, all thanks to the East Side Pet Crisis Fund.

Our East Side Pet Crisis Fund helps keep families whole. Many of the residents we aid with this fund have nowhere else to turn. But we can only help when funds are available. With your help, we can make a difference by keeping pets with their loving owners and out of area shelters. Donate today!

This story was made possible thanks to our veterinary partner Hillside Animal Hospital and financial support from the Banfield Foundation and supporters like you!
