East Side Pet District Resources

The East Side Pet District (located in St. Clair County, IL) is comprised of six municipalities: East St. Louis, Alorton, Centreville, Cahokia, Washington Park and Fairmont City. The following community programming is designed to assist families within the East Side Pet District.

Spay & Neuter Services

We provide a free spay/neuter package to families within the East Side Pet District. The package includes rabies and DHPP/FVRCP vaccines, microchip, nail trim, and dewormer.

TNR Services

We provide free trap-neuter-return (TNR) services to caretakers within our service area. TNR allows cats to be humanely trapped, sterilized, and released back to the outdoor area where they were found.

WAG Program

We have a special program for qualified families in the East Side Pet District called the WAG Program. Benefits include discounted wellness services and preventatives and access to the pet food pantry.

Rehoming Support

Life Happens. We Get It. Relinquishing your pet can be one of the most difficult decisions you’ll make. To help make the process easier, we have Counselors on staff to help families within the East Side Pet District.

Need help finding food for your pet?

Picking out a food to feed your pet can be INCREDIBLY overwhelming. There are so many options on the market. But not to worry! Purina has made it simple (and actually kind of fun!) with a helpful quiz for potential adopters or current pet parents to answer some questions on their preferences, and they will receive a custom food recommendation based on their responses. This is a fabulous resource for those of you looking for some assistance in choosing the right food type for your pets.
