Join Our Board of Directors
As GPG is not your average animal shelter, we are not looking for just another board member. While so many organizations focus solely on pets, our team recognizes that you are never 100 percent prepared for what a pet will bring to your life, or the services they will need. Life happens. We get it. Every day, sudden emergency veterinary and pet expenses in times of crisis can put many families in a tough financial situation. That is when they call us.
Our board members are avid animal-loving cheerleaders, fundraisers and decision-makers who work to ensure the people in our community know we are here to help. Our mission to end homelessness for animals in the East Side Pet District cannot be achieved without working hand-in-hand with our pet welfae community. It is challenging, heart-wrenching and every single minute is worth it for the pride you feel knowing the impact you have on families. We are always looking to transform and grow our board with individuals who are passionate about partnering with the community to spearhead innovative and comprehensive programming with the goal of keeping pets and people together.
To thrive as our board member, you have to be excited about:
• Providing judgment-free, equitable access to pet resources,
• Facilitating adoptions, progressive programming and collaborative partnerships,
• Removing barriers to pet ownership.
