This Monday we’ve got a special girl to introduce everyone to and her name is Chassis! She is a Boxer mix, spayed, and up to date with shots. GPG spent a year feeding her on the streets before we were able to rescue her. We also rescued puppies from at least two of her litters, which she was raising under an abandoned house. She’s had a rough life and is learning to trust humans.
Chassis is fairly confident when she is inside a home with people who she is familiar with, but can be shy when she is outside of this comfort zone. She tends to bond closely with one person and can be leery of strangers. She will require a home that will challenge her but take things slow. It may be ideal that her forever home does not have small children. Chassis gets along with other dogs if properly introduced. It may be helpful for her to be in a home with another well-adjusted dog to guide her. She also seems to get along with cats.
This good girl is potty-trained and crate-trained. Chassis has low to medium energy and she is learning to play with toys. She is slowly learning that her toys are meant for her entertainment, a luxury that she didn’t get when she was on the streets. She is working on walking on a leash.
This sweet girl is ready to find a home that will love her forever. She deserves a place that she can truly call her home and put her street days behind. If you want to give Chassis a second chance, check out our adoption process and fill out an application here: Pet Adoption Policies & Application.
