Meet Antoine!

antoine-adoptable-dog-st-louis

This pup, who took to the name ‘Buddy,’ is house-trained. He also knows some very important commands, such as ‘sit’ and ‘wait.’ Buddy loves treats which makes him fun to train because he will learn anything for a snack!

Buddy is nearly one year old and still has puppy energy that makes him so fun and lovable! He can be a goofy boy when the atmosphere is right, or can be calm and relaxed when he needs to be. Not only does Buddy love his foster mom, he is also very loving towards everyone especially other dogs!

Outside, Buddy enjoys running sprints and wrestling with his foster dog siblings. Inside, Buddy loves to have toys to chew on. He is very good at knowing what toys are his and what toys are not – he doesn’t chew on his foster moms shoes, but enjoys the bones she gives him. This friendly and outgoing boy loves to snuggle up with you for a good cuddle and will sleep through the night.

But we can’t forget Buddy’s favorite thing: Car Rides! Buddy loves car rides, especially when they end at the vet! He recently had surgery to have a bullet removed from his hind leg – the bullet had been there for quite a long time. Buddy doesn’t let that slow him down, though, because although he has permanent atrophy, he loves run and go for walks (he is very good on his leash) and it is expected that the effects of the atrophy will not affect him until very late in life.

He would also do best with an active family that enjoys long walks or taking him in the back yard or park to play and run about.
