Dr. Ed Migneco
Board Member, Board of Directors
Dr. Ed Migneco serves on the Gateway Pet Guardians Board of Directors and is one of the partnering veterinarians of the organization. He’s been with GPG since the beginning. As our veterinarian, he gets to see the dogs when they are first rescued, and then follows them as they end up in their forever homes. His favorite part about his position is the opportunity to see the transformation in the dogs, from being sick or injured or just scared, to becoming healthy and happy pets.
Dr. Ed’s favorite event is the Global Gala, including the good food, drinks, and artwork. His favorite Gateway dog that he’s cared for is Olaf, a huge Great Dane. Olaf had such terrible arthritis, and he takes comfort in knowing he is in such a good home and enjoying the rest of his life. It makes Dr. Ed and his wonderful staff feel good that they are able to help alleviate some of his pain and allow him to enjoy the rest of his life.
Dr. Ed’s wife’s name is Mary and she is an optometrist working for Washington University at Barnes Hospital. He has three daughters, Anna, Gina, and Nina. Anna is graduating from veterinary school this May. Gina attends Washington University and Nina attends Rosati-Kain High School. They have a rescue dog named Jack and two rescued cats named Coal and Mittens.
Dr. Ed enjoys sports, especially hockey and baseball. His family usually has some season tickets to both the Cardinals and the Blues. He also enjoys photography and traveling, which hand in hand make for some beautiful shots!
And finally, something not many people know, Dr. Ed is a trivia buff. He enjoys going to trivia nights and recently fulfilled a dream of his and made up the questions for a trivia night benefiting an organization run by one of his clients.
Thank you, Dr. Ed, for all of your contributions to this amazing organization. Thank you for working to get our rescue dogs healthy so that we can help them find their forever homes!
