Friday’s Foster Dog: Meet Fagen, an adoptable dog in St. Louis! At just a year and a half old, Fagen has an insatiable zest for life. Sweet and playful, his foster family says he is still learning the ways of the world but loving every minute of it. He attends doggy daycare on occasion and spends the majority of his time playing around with the other two dogs in his foster family’s house.
As rambunctious and sweet as he is, Fagen takes a while to warm up to new people. His foster mom admits it will probably take him a little while to get comfortable with his new family but he is anxious to find them. He loves his foster family but is really looking for a family of his own; that forever family that will take him under their wing and give him the kind of unconditional love and undivided attention he’s looking for.
Fagen is neutered, house trained, up to date with shots and all around the perfect family companion. He loves playing with toys and is still learning how to play with them but prefers nylabones over all the rest. He also loves to run, walk, and chase balls and pretty much anything that gives him an outlet for his fountain of energy. Plenty of daily exercise is the only cure for such a young, handsome boy like Fagen. On hot days he can often be found playing in the water.
At less than 30 lbs, this little boy is great with other dogs and remarkably patient with kids. He listens extremely well and is extremely smart. He’s currently learning to sit, stay, and lay down but is so intelligent he could learn just about anything. Since crates make him anxious he would probably do best with someone who could be with him and work with him for long periods of time each day. Someone who works from home, a family with a stay at home parent, or just someone who works part-time might be a great fit for him.
