Friday’s Foster Dog: Meet Gatsby, an adoptable dog in St. Louis! How could anyone resist that sweet face and those distinct but lovable ears? At just over a year old, Gatsby is one of the sweetest and most intelligent guys you’ll ever meet. He’s looking for the kind of family who can help him excel, and advance his knowledge of commands, tricks, and whatever else they are open to teaching him. The sky’s the limit with Gatsby. House trained and nearly crate trained, he’s eager to learn as much as he can and just as eager to find his ideal family.
At a mere 35 lbs, this Terrier Mix is the perfect size and the perfect cuddle buddy. His foster family says he is very friendly and energetic and loves as much attention as he can get. He’s a real pro on a leash, loves car rides, and has mastered the command ‘sit’. Like most dogs, he loves to play. When he’s not playing with his foster family he enjoys chewing on bones and playing with his toys. Gatsby is a very smart boy and loves to play with others but also knows when it is time to behave.
For Gatsby, his ideal family would include a home with older children, other dogs, or both. He is not expected to get much bigger and is the perfect size for a family looking for a smaller, but loving, companion. He’s a silly boy with plenty of love to give and just wants that one family who can be as loyal and loving to him as he is to them.
