Meet Dooley, a 1 year old goofy little Hound/Pit Bull Terrier mix! You’ll never find a cooler dog than Dooley. He’s an attention hog who absolutely adores humans and cannot get enough of those around him. His foster family calls him a “loveable little man” in search of someone with a huge heart and worthy of his plethora of kisses and ridiculously amazing snuggling abilities.
If you ask Dooley’s foster family to describe him in just one word they would say Dooley is a “doofus”. His foster family says he’s goofy and snores louder than his foster dad! He’s a free spirit who is happy with doing just about anything. He’s extremely curious, like a lot of dogs his age, and eager to learn not only new tricks, but also about the world and all that life has to offer. He is fairly confident in general and doesn’t seem to be afraid of much; even the vacuum doesn’t seem to faze him.
This cutie patootie is very strong and is still learning how to play, but enjoys a good game of fetch and tug of war as well as playing with stuffed animals. In addition to play, he’s also advancing his walking skills and will need additional training to help him learn to focus. Dooley can outplay anybody who challenges him and is very active. At the same time, he’s also content with a leisurely day in just chewing on his bone. His foster family admits he loves going for a walk, but could easily miss a day or two and still maintain his calm demeanor.
While he does seem to enjoy the company of other dogs, he does not appear to enjoy cats, and his foster mom says he could be in a home with other dogs or could also be your one and only. He’s extremely friendly towards all adults, but has not yet been kid-tested. He’s crate trained, house trained, neutered, and up to date with his shots. He’s a lovable guy who is looking for a very affectionate forever home. His foster family says he’s in need of a family who has an endless resource of compassion to bestow upon him and the ability to make this cutie an important part of their family.
