Van Gogh
A GPG story of progress.
Van Gogh was on the Gateway Pet Guardians feeding route for years before his rescue. When GPG started to see Van Gogh’s life on the streets get tougher, we began the search for a foster to take him in. When a foster volunteered and GPG was able to rescue him, he had about 75 wounds and he was missing his ear. Van Gogh’s story became an inspiration to GPG volunteers, staff and rescuers, he even has his own Facebook page, GPG’S Van Gogh!
Van Gogh is a three-year-old pitbull terrier mix. He has progressed from a wounded, rough and tough life on the streets to a handsome, sweet and loving boy in his foster’s home. He is a mellow guy but still loves to play with his two foster siblings, a 5 pound yorkie and a young pit mix. He is crate trained and house trained when on a schedule. This boy loves to lay in his bed or with his hoomans, chew on a squeaky toy and he adores belly rubs!
He is a low energy pup who can be shy at first but is not short of love and affection once he knows you. He is a silly boy who has transformed from a wounded dog on the streets to a lover made for a happy home where he can soak up attention.
