Meet Wes, an adoptable dog in St. Louis! No matter where he goes, this German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix is sure to be the big man on campus. At 71 lbs and roughly 2.5 years old, he is one of the biggest softies you’ll find; but don’t be misled. Wes isn’t the kind of guy to lay on the porch and watch life pass him by. Nope. He can hold his own physically as well.
His foster family confesses he loves to go for walks and enjoys the luxury of a big yard. He’s very affection and friendly, and loves most everybody. He’s extremely warmhearted and really enjoys the company of human and dog companions alike. A devastatingly handsome guy, Wes easily charms people with his magnetic personality and lovable demeanor.
Wes is also a rather social soul and enjoys every opportunity he can get to play with other dogs. He’s not much for cats and probably wouldn’t do well with small children simply because of his size, but would love the chance to be the center of attention in a large family with older kids. If not, he would also be equally as content with an active person with more than enough attention and love to show him. Wes is an incurable lovebug.
Wes’ foster family says he’s a big sweetheart who loves to give kisses and is full of energy. Oh, and plenty of treats! He loves bones and other special treats including stuffed chew toys. He knows a few tricks including sit and willing to sit for anyone who has a treat for him. If nothing else, Wes is a happy guy who is just looking for the ideal person, or family, to spend the rest of his life with and who will help him live that life to the fullest. He has been living with his foster family for a while, and even though he enjoys them just as much as they enjoy him, he is ready to find his forever home.
