What’s big, black, and beautiful? Creed! Creed is Monday’s Adoptable Dog. He is a black Labrador Retriever mix. Animal Control picked him up on the streets of Illinois and his family was not able to pay the fee to get him back, so, that’s how he ended up at Gateway. Creed is about three years old. He is just a little over eighty pounds, but thinks that he is still a lap dog. He is neutered and current on his shots.
Creed is also quite the athlete! Like most dogs of his breed, he LOVES to swim and is pretty darn good at it! He is the perfect dog to take on a run, because he is full of energy AND is great on a leash. He also enjoys nice walks too, if that is more your speed. Other games that he loves to play are fetch and tug-of-war. He could play fetch all day long if you let him!
Creed is not just all play though. He is seriously one smart dog. He is crate/house-trained. However, Creed is such a good boy that his foster stopped crating him. He already knows several commands and can learn a lot more! He knows basic commands like “sit” and “stay”. He also knows that he isn’t allowed on the furniture when he hears the “drop” command. He’s extremely attentive and responds quickly to commands when given. He’s got the looks and the brains!
