Meet Blake, an adoptable dog in St. Louis! Blake, who is otherwise known as Eddie by his friends, is a very smart, fun-loving puppy. In just a short time he has gone from street dog to star dog as he gets ready to star as Sandy in a local production of Annie this week! It’s hard for strangers not to notice what a gorgeous and great dog Eddie is just when they pass him by on a walk.
At just six months old and a little over 30 pounds, Eddie is crate-trained, already knows sit and lie down, and is quickly learning more. He does great on a leash and is very easy and quick to adjust to new environments and new people. Eddie is very easy going and loves meeting and playing with new dogs. His favorite is playing catch and chasing his foster brother around the backyard. And as you can see, he is eager to please and show his foster family that he’s listening by doing the famous puppy head tilt!
A home with another active dog and a fenced in yard for lots of play time would be a dream for Eddie. While he is still a puppy that is learning his manners, he already does great and plays gently with people and children. His exposure to cats has been limited so his foster family does not yet know how he would do around them on a regular basis.
Eddie is a handsome pit bull terrier mix that catches everyone’s attention for good reason. From eyes that will melt your heart to his beautiful coat and smart, friendly demeanor he is sure to impress and make quick friends. Although, he does seem to always steal his foster brother’s toys, what can we say, he loves to play! At the end of the day Eddie just really wants to cuddle on the couch and relax.
