This beautiful girl is Mellie!

You can see that she loves to snuggle with her human foster sister. Can you tell that she is so lovable and sweet? She really loves her foster family and is so grateful for all they have done for her, but is ready for a forever home of her own. Life in her foster home also includes other dogs and she does great with them!!

Mellie’s typical day includes: Play. Lounge. Take a selfie. Play. Lounge. Repeat. She can lounge in the silliest positions and get comfortable just about anywhere. She really likes to fit in anywhere she can, on the couch, on a bed, on the floor – anywhere is a great place to take a cat nap for miss Mellie. But before napping, this lady likes to play. She would love a moderately active home where she will get regular walks and/or playtime in the yard or at the park!

Mellie is up-to-date on shots, spayed, microchipped, and works everyday in her foster home learning new things and experiencing a life out of animal control and off the streets. She is crate and potty trained and knows some basic commands including ‘sit.’
Mellie also works really hard to find the best place for her toys… even if that means burying the toy in the couch cushions for a midnight chewing. It takes her a long time to find just the right spot and keeps her very entertained (see hiding spot below).

It’s also been hypothesized that Mellie may be part deer. She likes to gallop and jump around the back yard while playing!
