Ice Cream Hiking

Ice Cream begging to keep going

Beautiful Weather + Adorable Rescue Pups = The Perfect Hiking Adventure!

Or so Kristina Kozlowski and Julian Jacquin thought last week when they took shelter residents Baby Bella and Ice Cream to Hilda Young Conservation Area for a 2.5 mile hike. Kristina and Julian volunteer at the Emergency Shelter, and fell in love with these two pups while working their shift. They wanted nothing more than to give the two beautiful girls a break from the shelter, so they loaded them up and traveled to Eureka, Missouri to spend the afternoon! The smiles on their faces as they waded through the water and darted across the trails proved that it was just what the girls needed.

Kristina says both Bella and Ice Cream enjoyed splashing around in the creek and playing on the sandy beach. “Bella was very brave and would get shoulder deep in some areas of the creek, which you can imagine is funny given how tiny she is. Plus she had these adorable little snorts throughout most of our hike! Also, Ice Cream would constantly look back at Julian as they walked down the trail together as if to say ‘I’m having so much fun! Let’s keep going!’. I also have to throw in that Ice Cream was a big old cuddle bug with me during the car ride to the trail.”

We can certainly see that Baby Bella and Ice Cream enjoyed their adventure… look at their pictures below!
