The mission of the Gateway Pet Guardians Community Outreach Program is to ensure that pet owners have the resources they need to provide their pet(s) with a long, happy and healthy life. We strive to empower pet owners to keep pets in their homes and out of area shelters. Several programs aid in these efforts, and 2017 was an incredible year of growth for our Community Outreach Program! In 2017, we were able to spay/neuter 22 cats and 117 dogs; trap-neuter-return (TNR) 190 community cats; vaccinate 312 community pets and microchip 123 community pets! We were also able to deliver countless supplies to pet owners in the Metro East, including doghouses, tie-outs, collars, leashes, flea preventative, and other pet supplies.

We are proud of our accomplishments this year, but we also want to thank all those organizations and individuals that make our work in the Metro East possible.

It truly takes a village. We could not make such an impact in the Metro East without the help of these amazing organizations and individuals! We are proud of the work we’ve done this year, and are looking forward to what 2018 has in store. Check out our Community Outreach Program to learn more about our efforts in the Metro East.
