It Ain’t Easy Being Blue

Kermit the Frog famously sang “It Ain’t Easy Being Green” and though I’ve never been a frog or a Muppet, I don’t think Kermit had a CLUE how it feels to be a dog named “Blue”.  Allow me to me explain.

You’re My Boy Blue!

I’m going to start with an easy one. I can’t count the amount of times I’ve heard “You’re My Boy Blue” after someone learns my name. At first I was confused. I thought people were just dying with excitement to adopt me. I mean, who wouldn’t want to adopt me? I’m house-broken, and I LOVE people, kids and dogs! My foster mom finally let me watch the movie Old School and I have to admit that Will Ferrell is a funny guy, but really? EVERY TIME?

Red, White, & Blue

The end of June and beginning of July is tough time for a guy named Blue. As you can tell from my photo, my foster mom decided to take advantage of my colorful name and make me the most patriotic dog this side of the Mississippi. Don’t get me wrong, I am very proud to be an American, but I don’t think outfits are necessary. And speaking of July 4th…what is up with humans and fireworks? They are too loud and completely unnecessary. Just so you know.

I found my thrill
On Blueberry Hill
On Blueberry Hill
When I found you

The moon stood still
On Blueberry Hill
And lingered until
My dream came true

I hear this song a lot so I know all the words. But you know what my dream is? My dream is find a family that wants me to be a part of their family. My dream family would let me cuddle and snuggle with them and sit on their laps (you’re never too big to be a lap dog in my opinion). We could go on walks and then snuggle up and watch TV. How wonderful would that be? Talk about “My Blue Heaven!” (sorry I had to!)
