Meet Cozumel and Giselle

Sisters saved from the streets.

gateway pet guardiansgateway pet guardiansA few short months ago, Gateway Pet Guardians rescued Cozumel (tan) and Giselle (brindle). In the time at their foster home, both these girls have come to show personalities quite unlike one another. Dogs of the same breed, and even the same litter, don’t always grow into the same qualities or at the same rate! While Giselle is curious but very shy and slow to trust, Cozumel is                                                                                    quick to love, play and learn.

gateway pet guardiansgateway pet guardians“Cozzie”, as her foster mom calls her, is 50 pounds of lab and shepherd play. She loves to be active with her foster siblings and would do great in a home with other pups. She also loves going on walks and cuddling with her humans. Cozumel is crate trained and potty trained.

Both girls are spayed, vaccinated and micro chipped. Adjusting from the streets to a home can be a very tough transition for a puppy, Cozumel has flourished and is ready for her new forever home, read more about her here.

gateway pet guardiansGiselle is curious, she plays with other pups but is still learning that her foster humans are here to take care of her and give her the love she deserves. With a little more trust and love, Giselle will be ready for adoption in no time. All dogs take time to grow and trust after coming from the streets into a home. Giselle is learning from her foster siblings and will be up for adoption once she breaks out of her shell. If you’d like to keep up with Giselle’s progress and learn more about her growing personality, contact GPG here.

As if these two aren’t cute enough, look out for their brothers who will be featured on Friday, May 1!

If you would like to open your home and heart to Cozumel, please check out our adoption process and fill out an application here: Pet Adoption Policies & Application. You may also email us at adopt@gatewaypets.com for more information!
