Dory
A pup with a free spirit.
Dory is a 2-year-old German Shepherd Mix who adores other dogs. In fact, Dory hasn’t quite figured out that her humans and her cat foster sibling are not dogs! Dory came to her Gateway Pet Guardians foster as a feral pup, so she is still learning that her human and cat friends aren’t the same as her dog friends. In her eyes, a playmate is a playmate, no matter the species!
Dory’s foster mom calls her both “quirky” and “sweet”, she will prove it by giving adorable nose bumps instead of kisses. The three things she loves most are belly rubs, play time and squirrel watching. The free spirit that she is, she would rather be walking next to you at the park, on a hike or on a walk than on a leash.
“She went on a hike with us and did great! She made a running jump down a hill into the lake – I think she didn’t know that is what she was headed for as she frantically swam back to shore and never did that again. It was fun to watch.” – Dory’s GPG Foster Mom
Dory is both house trained and crate trained. Dory is looking for a home where she can learn and play house with a family who embraces her free spirit and playful nature! Is your home the one for her?
