Monday’s Shelter Dog is Omaha! He’s a beautiful American Pit Bull Terrier Mix who is approximately 1 year & 2 months old. He’s playful, sweet and has the most stunning eyes! He’s keeping our Shelter Staff company until he finds a foster home or forever home.
Omaha is kennel trained, neutered, current on his shots, microchipped & on heartworm preventative and flea & tick protection. He’s been a good boy around the few dogs he’s met and he hasn’t met any children or cats yet.
We believe Omaha is deaf so he’s looking for a forever home whose family members would be willing to learn how to communicate with him through sign language or commands. He’s a smart boy and it seems he might already know some commands, such as sitting when he sees a treat. He loves peanut butter so that could be useful when training him.
This sweet guy has charmed everyone at the shelter and they really like spending time with him. He’s such a love bug who is gentle and just loves to give kisses. Omaha is all about snuggling & cuddling and he’s truly happy when he’s with his favorite people.
Omaha is friendly and likes attention yet he seems to crave our male staff’s attention a little more. He likes to sit by our male Shelter Manager and give him kisses, which makes everyone laugh because the dogs usually seek out the female staff & Shelter Manager.
Omaha is playful, likes being outside, enjoys going for walks and is a very good boy on the leash.
