It’s time for our Monday Shelter Dog, and our spotlight this week is on Teflon! Teflon is a gorgeous female Pit Bull Terrier/Staffordshire Bull Terrier Mix. She has a beautiful blue-black coat and it’s super soft and smooth! She is four years old. Teflon is spayed and up-to-date on her shots.
Teflon was spayed in November of 2013 as part of GPG’s Spaying/Neutering program and her microchip was registered to GPG. She was picked up by Animal Control in March and returned to GPG as a result. We’ve had her at the shelter since the end of March and she is anxious to go home with a loving family!
Teflon is one of the calmest dogs at the shelter, if not, THE calmest. She has a very laid-back attitude. When our shelter volunteers enter her kennel, they are greeted with leg rubs and gentle kisses. Teflon is definitely a lap dog and a leaner. She will snuggle if given the opportunity and she LOVES hugs. Although Teflon is not a high-energy dog, she does like to play. She has rope toys that she loves to play with. She also loves long and relaxing walks.
Teflon is a great girl. She is very gentle and loving. Teflon is amazing on walks and does wonderfully on a leash. She doesn’t pull and will walk side by side next to her human companion. Teflon allows the walker to set the pace. In addition, she keeps her kennel tidy and accident-free.
Teflon is a sweet girl and her laid-back demeanor makes her a great addition to a family. If you are ready to give Teflon a home away from the shelter, you can learn about our adoption process and fill out an application here: Pet Adoption Policies & Application. You may also email us at email@example.com for more information. We are always looking for foster parents as well. Each time a shelter dog goes to a home, GPG can make room for another rescue dog.
