From the desk of the Executive Director, Emily Stuart
2021 was a year full of firsts for us. We kicked things off with new leadership, and an award from Focus St. Louis for our commitment to promoting a stronger community. Throughout the year, we expanded our team to accommodate the astounding 45 percent growth in intake, over 1,400 pets seen through our public clinic, and the launch of our Pet Supply Marketplace. We made headlines for reuniting animals with the families who love them, and for reducing our community’s stray population with a free spay/neuter program. We even had a bit of fun and went viral on TikTok during our most successful fundraising event ever! 2021 taught us to look for the good in everyone, to be flexible and responsive to feedback, and to always center our community.
We know that 2022 will be another record-breaking year for intake, foster and adoption that we can only meet head on through partnerships and people power. We have more pets and families counting on us than ever before, and your commitment to our mission makes the difference between surviving and thriving.
