2021 was the first year that we participated in the President’s Volunteer Service Awards, which honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the country. This recognition sponsored by AmeriCorps and Points of Light was presented to 31 of our volunteers who completed 100+ hours of impactful work in a year. In the three levels, we had 4 volunteers qualify for gold (500+ hours), 9 volunteers for silver (250-499 hours) and 18 volunteers for bronze (100-249 hours). We celebrated this high honor last Tuesday evening with an awards ceremony at our Pet Resource Center, We are so incredibly grateful for all of our pawsome volunteers who dedicate their time (over 54k hours in 2021!) to support our lifesaving mission, saving us over $335k with their service last year.
